Hello and welcome!

Welcome to the Association for Industrial Archaeology's 2006 Conference!

This blog will bring you news and views from the conference, which will be taking place on the Isle of Man from 8th to 14th September 2006.

And you'll be able to hear news and views too - we'll be podcasting alongside the blog. You can access the podcast here or access the live feed with itunes or other podcast software here.

Jonathan Briggs has far too many interests to list here. For current/older blogs the key facts are that he has an active interest in mistletoe conservation, traditions and marketing. Actually the current (2009-2011) mistletoe blogging is hosted on wordpress at http://mistletoematters.wordpress.com/ so not even on blogger! How disloyal! Setting mistletoe aside, he was, until recently, involved with the UK's Association for Industrial Archaeology (AIA) - hence the AIA Conference Blog (and podcast).
